Removed top cover of drive unit, after removing single bolt with socket wrench..
Disconnected old cable by hand.
Pulled cable through top clamp, pried open with screwdriver. Removed cable.
Attached new cable easily at drive uni by handt, then through clamp and attached at top.
Replaced top cover of drive unit.
1. Removed front cover one nut.
2. Removed old cable from handle to base.
3. Tipped mower back and had wife stand on handle while I removed cable from drive and hooked new cable on. 1 minute.
4. Installed remainder of cable. And reinstalled front cover.
Needed a new blade, drive cable, front wheel drive gears, drive belt needed replaced as well. Replaced the two front wheels. Tuned it up. Runs like new.
Went on line ,and downloaded the owners manual. Went through the parts list to see what I needed to order. Went to ereplacementParts.com, and submitted my order. They gave me a tracking number. Removed the cap on top of pulley.
Hook up new cable into the hole after removing the broken cable kit out
Reattach the new cable up to the handle and secure to the hole.

The bearing on front left wheel wore out. The wheel adjustment of both wheel on front were not holding a position. Replaced both wheel adjuster assemblies which solved both problems.
Remove plastic wheel covers.
Remove both wheels using socket or open end wrench.
Remove keeper clip to remove drive gear from drive shaft on each side.
Remove wheel adjusters and replace with new ones.
Replace in reverse order.

Control cable broke, starter cable was sticking/ rusted
Replacing the drive cable is very easy and only takes a few minutes-just remove the old one, you might need a pair of pliers, there is really nothing difficult about this repair
