Simply flipped the mower on it\'s side, removed one 5/8 head hex bold from the bottom of the crank, old blade basically off. Placed new blade on the mount, tightened the bolt, flipped mower back up on it\'s wheels and away we went. Word of caution: make sure you flip the mower to the side without the crankcase breather, otherwise it may get oil in the cylinder. Breather usually on carb side of engine.

Loosened nut in blade housing, removed nut and old blade, replaced with new blade and tightened nut.

Needed new blade

Wear one heavy duty glove to hold the blade , while you remove the blade bolt and washers. Install the new blade in reverse order.

Easy to do, just wedge a block of wood in to stop the blade from turning. Remove the blade bolt and washer, then the blade. Install the new blade just as the old one was. Then place the washer on the the bolt and thread the bolt into the shaft.

Hold one side of the blade with a thick heavy duty glove, then remove the blade bolt and washer. Remove old blade and replace with new blade, washer and blade bolt. If the bolt is too hard to remove you can use an impact wrench to remove it.
