This is a genuine Ariens part for use with Lawn Mowers, The discharge deflector disperses grass clippings evenly throughout the lawn by throwing the clippings out the side of the mower. The most common reason for replacing the discharge deflector is if it is broken. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the discharge deflector is a 1/2" socket, vise-grip pliers, large flat-head screwdriver, 7/16" socket, and a hammer.
