Replace traction cable

Had to remove back plates. Remove old traction cable. Then install everything back in reverse and adjust cable tension.

Loosen top nut on both attachment brackets remove cable.
Measure new cable nuts against old cable lower nuts for approximate tension and mark with pen.
Remove top nut on new cable thread thru lower bracket attach spring thread nut on.
Attach top of cable to handle place cable thru bracket and attach nut.
Adjust nut s for proper tension.

Just took off a cover that sits just in back of the engine, which exposed where the cable attaches to the traction wheel mechanism. I took a good look at how it was installed, and after removing it, I reinstalled the new cable. There were a few tightening adjustments to get the tension right, and that was it. The hard part was finding the cable I needed and who sold them, the easy part was putting it in.
