This is an authentic item that is supplied directly from the original equipment manufacturer for use with Ariens walk-behind lawn mowers. The purpose of the traction cable is to engage the drive wheels, unfortunately, over time it will wear out and it may begin to fail eventually requiring a replacement. It is connected to the traction bail and then attached to the traction bracket near the transmission, please make sure to check the appropriate diagrams of your model for the correct location and application of this component. Keep in mind this high-quality rubber insulated cable is sold individually.
