The safety handle you have to hold to keep the mower running was always slipping out of the handle bar . Installed new bushing and washer and solved the problem

Scraper Blade on ARIENS SS522E Snow Thrower excessively worn & Auger Drive Belt worn

Removed orange cover after removing 2 screws. Removed 4 screws and cover plate to gain access to auger drive belt. Removed drive belt after loosening tension on adjustment spring. Removed 3 torque screws and nuts holding scraper blade. Next installed new drive belt and adjusted tension. Installed auger cover plate with screws. Installed n ew scraper blade aligning 3 holes. Finally tightened 3 torque screws and nuts after insertion in holes. Next replaced screws which would secure snow thrower cover. Replaced cover followed by tightening new screws. Installed gas tank cover after installing cover. Finally started engine and checked if auger functioning correctly. Started engine using electric start. Success after first snowfall.
