1. Drilled out the old Tailstock Spindle lock and used an easy out to remove the remaining threads. This damaged the tailstock threads and I was not confident it would hold up.
2. I removed the Tailstock handwheel, then slid the spindle assembly from the tailstock.
3. Using Ring pliers, I removed the C-Ring from the Eccentric
... Read more locking rod, then removed the rod from the tailstock. This allowed the clamp assembly to drop free of the tailstock.
4. Using the New tailstock, I reassembled the tailstock assembly in the reverse order.
5. Complete repair was in about 50 minutes.
