I got the tool for free because the quick release mechanism was missing. Took out all the screws holding the jig saw together came apart very easily. Watch out there is a spring holding the saw bar, removed it and the guide placed the new part in and greased it up, put the spring and guide back in and put the shell back on, screwed it bac k together and it worked great.

Remove remove the screws with a drill motor with a star bit sides come apart easy the only problem I had was the the you you part you piece of the up-and-down of the saw jig was not wide enough I had to take a round punch in LED sideways on a vise and tap it down into it to spread apart the you you rocket that goes on the gear what activi ty left once I did that it went to go get would drop dried in and went together and works of worse works fine

The jig saw bar where the blade is attached broke æcause I misused the equipment.

1. Put the jigsaw on a flat surface with the side of the screws up.
2. Unscrewed all the screws.
3. Removed the cover.
4. Looked carefully how the saw bar was placed, then removed it.*
5. Placed the new bar exactly the same way the other one was.
6. Put the cover back on
7. Put all 10 screws back in pla ce and tighten them all.

*Important: There is a small spring, make sure not to miss it when dissembling

Bad saw chuck

1 removed all the Philips screws from from the saw
2 carefully pry the outer case in half.
3 remove the defective shaft and install the new shaft exacly like the defective shaft was installed.
4 reinstall the outercase and and screws.
5 Post funtion test the saw for design operation.
6 congratulations you h ave just repaired your first jig saw.
