Remove rear cover with phillips screwdriver then remove brush holders (there are Two) with same screwdriver then replace worn brushes with new ones then reconnect wire and install in reverse order that they were taken out replace rear cover then its done.

Removed end cover
Removed brush housing
Clipped the old brush wire off
Install new brush in holder
Put the mounting screw through brush eyelet and reinstalled holder
Reinstalled end cover

Motor ran slow and erratic

I removed the plastic end cap and located the brushes. Remove the brushes, while taking care to keep the springs intact. Simply reinstall the brushes and springs and you are done.

Switch not working, brushes worn

Remove the screw from the top cap & remove it. You can make a wiring diagram if needed. Note how the brush spring is mounted. Unscrew the screws holding the brushes in the holders, remove the brushes from the holders and replace them with the new brushes. Disconnect the old switch wires and connect the new switch. Make sure the wires won\ 't get pinched and replace the top cap.
