This carbon brush set is an authentic Metabo replacement part and is compatible with jig saws. The carbon brush conducts an electrical current to the armature and motor. Carbon brushes are a common wear item, and it is recommended to be replaced often. This part is sold individually, though two are required and it is suggested to replace both brushes at the same time.
