This is a genuine manufacturer approved replacement switch that is specially produced for use with Rowenta irons. It is part of the unit handling on/off operations. Since switches have moving mechanical parts, they will over time wear out and may begin to fail eventually requiring replacement. This switch has a durable plastic body and it is sold individually.
