This is an authentic Rowenta part. Included with this part is the power cord, control board, and strain relief. This part is used on many models of Rowenta irons. Its common to replace this part if the cord has been damaged, the iron won't turn on, the auto shut off feature doesn't function properly, or if there is a short in the cord. To replace this part you will need to use a torx screwdriver.
