Screw drivers, Wrench (Adjustable)

1. Remove the screws from casing.
2. Separate casing making sure not to loose the spring near battery leads (if that the spring comes out make sure that all the guts are in the half that has a backer plate for the spring to rest against as that only one half of it has the plate and you\'ll just compress the spring and slide it back into place). Also make sure not to loose copper piece for directional selector near trigger.
3. Pull impact gear case loose from top of case and slide off the splined shaft.
4. Take an adjustable wrench and turn the gear case cap clockwise (as that it\'s left hand threads and I turned mine the wrong direction and stripped it out being why that I had to get a new one) and remove being careful not to get any dirt or foreign material in case or on interior of bearing cap.
5. Remove internal gears making sure to put them so that they you remember how to put them back in correct side up.
6. At this point you should be able to remove your anvil from the bearing case being sure not to loose the ball inside the anvil.
7. Take the ball out of the anvil put a slight amount of grease on it and place the ball in the new anvil.
8. Putting everything back together is the reverse of removal.
