Product Description

?

This Genuine OEM fuel line is designed for use with a variety of Echo gas-powered trimmers and hedge clippers. Made from durable plastic and sold individually, this essential component delivers fuel from the tank to the carburetor, enabling proper engine function. When the primer bulb is pressed, it fills the carburetor with fuel; once full, any excess fuel is returned to the tank via the fuel return line. Over time, fuel lines can deteriorate and become brittle due to exposure to fuel and environmental conditions. Replacing a worn or cracked line is crucial to maintaining fuel flow and preventing engine performance issues. This OEM part ensures a precise fit and reliable operation, helping to keep your equipment running smoothly.

1. Removed the air filter cover and replaced the filter and screwed the cover back on.
2. Unscrewed the two bolts holding the gas tank. Removed the old fuel line and the old tank cushions. Disconnected the fuel filter from the old fuel line and connected to the new fuel line. Connected the new fuel line to the carburetor line con nect and inserted the fuel filter in the fuel tank.
Took out the old two tank cushions and replaced them with the new ones. Placed the fuel tank and tied it down with the two bolts.
Started up the trimmer and the fuel tank was nice and secured without any rattlings. Job completed successfully.

Removed all old parts from Echo hedge trimmer without trouble, although the spark plug is very hard to get at because the D-handle bar is directly in the way of a socket wrench. The biggest problem with these Echo machines (blowers, hedge trimmers, etc.) is that the 3-hole rubber grommet that is inserted into a hole in the gas tank is RID ICULOUSLY hard to replace. There is hardly any room between the tank and the D-handle bar, so it is next to impossible to press the grommet into the hole while protecting the three tubes from pulling out of their individual holes. You will swear that they sent you the wrong part as you try to force it into a hole that seems 30% too small, but it will fit into the hole if you are very good with your hands. Like a brain surgeon. This part of the job takes the longest, and you will need to find a suitable blunt tool to apply just enough pressure to the grommet to press it in without puncturing the grommet itself. This is a learn-by-doing project, and I would recommend buying two grommets in case you destroy the first one. Short story: Echo\'s machine design is not good. Seems like they want you to buy a new machine rather than fight the challenges of tuning up your machine yourself. BTW: I have previously ordered a complete new carburetor for this (and other) Echo machines, and they work great and are easy to install. Worth the $40 or so cost, and I would recommend them.

All the lines for the fuel where dry and cracked.

1. Took all the lines out of the gas tank
2. Placed all the lines beside all my new parts and used it as my guide
3. Once I got all the pieces together I pushed the grommet back into the tank (not an easy thing to do)
4. I then took the old primer out and installed the new one, making sure I didn\'t get any dirt in the small hole for the gas to feed the primer
5. I replaced the old air filter with the new one and again you have to make sure you don\'t get any dirt in the area.
6. I took the new spark plug and compared the gap to the old one making sure it was the same
7. I then turned the trimmer over and replaced the screw that had been lost
8. I then greased everything and started my trimmer
