My Echo Trimmer needed the blades replaced so, it much easier to replace it as a one piece unit and I purchased the whole gear assembly and it was simple and quick doe the change out.
1. I removes the old gear box assembly
2. Before attaching the new gear box assembly I made sure there was adequate grease
3. Replaced gear box assembly with blades
4. Stared unit and tested
5. The whole process took about 15 min.
