1. Previously reviewed a YOUTUBE on how to take a hedger (handheld) apart. Not the hedger we have, but the same brand. Helped a lot to understand what maybe required.
2. Removed all the screws
3. Removed the cover
4. Removed the old blade and gear
5. Inserted the new blade and gear. (do clean out any yard waste
... Read moreinside, we had little to none, which indicates that the cover is tight)
6. Replaced the cover
7. Returned the screws, which were by far less then the handheld hedger reviewed on the YOUTUBE, it had at least a dozen. Here was maybe 5 on this hedger,
NOTE: we did have to use a long Phillips screwdriver.
8. Inserted battery and we were set and ready to go.
Maybe 15 minutes in all.
