I bought the wrong product but the difference was only that the part I ordered has a lock pin rotated 90 degrees from what I was using.

Put snap ring on the drive shaft. Greased the inside of the shaft cover on both ends And inserted shaft. Placed shaft inside the pole saw head (not the hedge trimmer) and tightened 2 allen screws to position shaft tube and 1 to hold in place.
