It seems my rugged Rigid Gen5x hammer drill became a victim of the COVID-19 excuse being used for everything else these days. Falling from a third floor office building where I was mounting a new wireless access point it suffered a traumatic near complete amputation of it\'s nether-regions. Despite the battery connector being broken off, the wiring inside was still intact and the drill still worked great when I gave the trigger a squeeze. The big orange box store wasn\'t accepting tools for repair (the drill wasn\'t wearing a mask when I brought it there), so I opted to fix it myself. I was elated to find a brand new complete housing assembly for my exact model hammer drill through ereplacementparts.com and I ordered it up. It took me longer to find the special sized security torx screwdriver bits thoroughly buried in my toolboxes than it did to actually do the repair. A dozen screws later and the drill was in pieces laying on my workbench. I took a little time and gave the dirty old drill doodads I diligently disassembled a detailed dusting and decontamination before dispensing them directly into their new digs and douching the dashing-looking new drill with disinfectant. Assembly was simple aside from aligning the brushed motor up on the tabs properly so the housing would close. A few screws later and it was all back together. Ready for it\'s next case of sudden deceleration trauma on the job site. Thank you for making these parts available!
