This authentic OEM supplied piston is specially designed for Hitachi rotary hammer drills. The most common reason to replace the piston is low compression. This could be caused by dirt or dust wearing the piston rings. To help extend the life of a pneumatic tool use the specified oil in it daily 4-5 drops will do every time you use it. Refer to the owner's manual and the diagram for your model to ensure the proper repair procedure. You will need a screwdriver and pliers to complete this repair.
