Remove gearbox with chuck attached.
Install gearbox.
Install keyless chuck.
Install chuck screw.

removed whole case gear assy. removed all gears washers and o c clips . taped new threads for screws on new gear case was not threaded reinstalled gears and greased on electric drill, also replaced chuck , no special instruction if a person is machanicly inclined should have no problem with assy, in removing and i nstalling

The chuck screw would not come out.

Used a small pipe wrench to unscrew old chuck, which broke off the screw. Used a dremel with cutoff wheel. Cut a slot in broken screw, then used a large Flathead screw driver to remove screw.
New chuck and new screw went on as it should.

Removed torx screw LH thread, placed hex key in chuck and tightened chuck on key, struck key sharply to loosen chuck and unscrew. Reversed procedure to install new chuck.

Instructions on website were right on.

Remove set screw found inside the chuck(reverse thread)

Place large Allen wrench in chuck and tighten. Hit Allen wrench with a hammer to break the threads. May take a few hits. Once loose unthread the whole chuck.

Installation is reverse of removal. Firm hand tightening is all that is necessary.
