Replace ring gear

Take out all screws split drill in half. pull the motor and carefully separate the gears until you get to the one that is broken. install new gear and gently slip the gears back together. Lining the gears up was the hardest part.

No torque at chuck, felt as if the gear train failed.

After dis-assembly it was evident the dogs wore on the large ring gear and mating shift mechanism. Super simple! Took 15 minutes and works perfectly.

Tip: take pictures on cell phone during dis-assembly to keep track of component placement.
