This is an original DeWalt replacement part manufactured for use with demolition hammers. Brushes will wear out over time because of constant contact with the armature which rotates inside the electric motor. Signs of worn brushes are sparking, trouble starting, and diminished performance. Replacing worn brushes is part of normal maintenance, and this pair of brushes are sold as individual pairs.
