The shoulder pin attaches to the gear housing and is made of metal. This is available as an individual replacement part. It is a genuine item that is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Makita grinders. During replacement, it may require a set of pliers to help install this part correctly. Over time it may break and will need to be replaced.
