The metal flange is used to provide spacing between the underside of the guard and the inner flange. This item is sold as an individual replacement part. A spanner wrench and a screwdriver are needed to install this item.

Hi Terry, Thank you for your question. You may also need the flange guard, part number 596389-00, the screws to secure it, part number 596388-00. You will need 3 of the screws. You may also need the spindle and gear assembly if you don't already have it, part number 5140020-12 and the screws to secure it, part number 596392-00. You will need 4 of them. We hope this helps!
