Remove the cast iron grates.
Unscrew the 2 screws holding the burner in. Nut driver, screw driver, wrench or pliers will work.
Lift liner up and the burner will slide out easily.
With the liner partially lifted out, slide the new burner in and then reset the liner.
Replace the ... Read more screws and tighten them firmly but do not over tighten them.
Replace the grates and reattach the thermostat. Plug in and test.
(hint) Make sure the grates do not touch the new burner. There should be a gap between the burner and the grates. I had to apply some gentle pressure downward on the burner to create a gap. Also I recommend rubber gloves or while handling the grates and other greasy parts, or lots of paper towels. Good luck!
