Thumb screw at the base of the old one-touch cleaner snapped off (30 year-old grill). Used hack saw to cut old lever in two places so I could remove the old rusted/burned out one-touch cleaning unit. Once the old hardware was removed, installation of the new parts was fairly simple.

The only hard part was removing the old cleaner assembly, which had rusted into a solid mass.I used the dremel cutting disk to cut through the ends of the turning rod, to release the washer. Then I followed the included instructions to install it.
