Propane Tank LED sensor wasnÆt working Control knobs decals were worn out

Weber Summit s-470 grill was getting worn out. It is used a lot and some of the parts were getting old.

2. Remove propane tank and remove gauge part from level indicator.
3. Remove ALL the knobs (used WD-40 to help) and the use of a nylon pry tool to get behind and persuade the knobs off.
4. Loosen the two screws below the knob panel and pull the panel off. Be careful of the button on the left side ... Read more as it\'s connected to the lighted knobs. You can remove the wires that connect but not necessary.
5. Remove the two screws that attach the LED to the panel.
6. Remove the LED, wires gauge part up through the BBQ and out through the LED gauge hole.
7. Remove (if necessary) the small magnet attached to the mechanical gauge and replace with the new one in the kit.
8. Before installing the new part, I put some extra sheathing around the wire assy. that goes through the sharp areas of the BBQ. This will give it more insulation from rubbing over the years. I also re-routed it to miss sharp areas.
9. Retrace all your steps and fire that puppy up! Worked light a charm!! Pun intended. :)
