1. Removed the 3 bottom dampers with a simple tap of screwdriver
2. Install new dampers with screw through hole and complete with washer and but on inside. Tighten with pliers.
3. That\'s it. Easy
4. Replaced grill surface with new one on which the sides raise to add charcoal to indirect heat basket. ..
Drill ed hole in kettle dome for temperature thermostat and I now have a like new smoker/grill.

Weber 22 inch charcoal grill only has one vent causes uneven heating and inadequate airflow to coals.

Located additional damper kit same as original but on opposite side of lid handle. Drill center attach hole and temporarily install new damper with vent holes oriented same as original and mark 4 holes with sharpie pen.
Drill out holes to 7/8 inch to align with new damper holes. De burr holes and reinstall damper per instructions.
You can now get your grill up to higher temps and large foods like a turkey with have a beautiful golden brown cook on all sides!.
