Difficulty Level:
Easy
Total Repair Time:
Less than 15 mins
Tools:
Pliers
Parts Used:
63029
1. Removed hood from grill and placed upside down on bench
2. Using pliers (opened wide) I loosened the wing nut on old thermometer from its bracket (probably could have done it without the pliers but they made the job easier)
3. Completely removed wingnut and extracted thermometer from outside of hood
4. While therm ometer is out of bracket, quickly clean any soot/grease/sludge from around the bracket, both inside and out.
5. Inserted replacement thermometer into bracket aligning prong on thermometer in slot on bracket.
6. Threaded replacement wingnut onto screw on back of thermometer on inside of hood. Tighten thumb tight.
Very quick and simple repair. Took longer to locate source of replacement thermometer than to do the actual repair.
