1. Drilled a hole in the Grill cover
2. Inserted the thermometer through the bezel
3. Tightened the wing nut to the underside of the thermometer probe.

Older Weber Kettle Did Not Come With A Thermometer

I researched the part numbers for the Thermometer & Bezel from a newer Weber Kettle. I then checked inventory on eReplacementParts.com, they had the OEM Weber parts in stock, I ordered and received in a couple days.

I drilled a hole in the Kettle lid for the Thermometer Probe and made a slot for the tab and that was that. Ver y happy with the installation.

Installed bezel and thermometer into existing holes in lid of grill.
Installed wing nut on thermometer on inside of lid and tightened.

No thermometer

Placed the bezel on lid, then inserted the thermometer through the middle. Then tightened the wing nut on the back of the thermometer inside the lid.

1. Unscrewed the wing nut behind the old thermometer in the grill shroud.
2. Removed the old thermometer from the bezel.
3. Inserted new thermometer in the bezel.
4. Tightened the wing nut.
5. Tested the grille--all systems go!
