Weber 18.5\" charcoal grill, three independent bottom air dampers; original hardware rusted frozen and the dampers would not move.

Repair instructions came with the kit.
1. From the inside, cut off the three securing nuts with the Dremel. These nuts are of the sheet metal type and cut easily. Be careful not to cut the grill itself.
2. Remove old dampers and rusted hardware.
3. Vacuum out metal debris; clean inside and outside surfaces of the grill.
4. Install new dampers with the supplied hardware.
NOTE: since the supplied hardware will rust over time, I replaced it with 1/4\"x3/4\" stainless steel bolts, s/s washers and full-metal lock nuts. Push a bolt through the damper, position it in place, put on a washer and nut. Tighten the nut just so that it\'s secure, but the damper works still moves freely.

The rivets spun when I tried to drill them out so I had to grind them off. once this was done the new ones went on easily. The lid dampers on both of my grills replaced easily. Both grills are now better than when they were new since the upper damper has a rubber insulated handle. I am very pleased
