So disappointing...
I found this igniter when I researched a replacement for my model 9948 Coleman grill. Actually, it doesn't fit my grill. However, using a few found objects, I was able to create an extension and a tubular sheath that holds the igniter so that pushing the igniter switch engages the metal shield and sparks.
For future reference: at least one of the wires needs to be at least 3 cm longer.

Lots of screws needed to be removed to remove old parts. Some new screws were supplied but others are not so keep track of old ones. Took my time,and pictures, and just replaced the parts making sure I kept track of the screws that went to what, plus also used some of the new screws that came with the parts themselves. Removed the burned out, rusted out burners and igniters. I had to open up an access hole on the bottom of the grill body to reallign the right side igniter. Reassembled the grill and all is working well.

Took old burners out using a Philips screwdriver had to remove the drip pan (removing screws around the fan retainer). Then removing the burners that were installed with screws. Lined up tubes with pliers installed igniters.
