This is a Genuine Manufacturer Approved replacement part for use in Char-Broil Grills. This Trough helps to transfer heat to the food. Trough has extended supports on the front and back sides. Removed the rusted grates and trough and laid in the new trough and grates. Removed the igniter, ignition module, electrode and trough. Only tool required was a pair of pliers. Replaced each item and wiring and replaced the battery in the ignition module. Cleaned the grill thoroughly and turned on the gas. Igniter worked first time. Cooking currently on the grill. All went well and the food tastes great!
1. I removed the grill grate sections (three in all) to expose the trough.
2. I removed the old trough by lifting it out.
3. I placed the new trough into the grill.
4. I replaced the grill grate sections.
5. I grilled myself a steak (this step is optional but recommended)
