This replacement trough/heat plate is a genuine Char-Broil part. It is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer for use with gas grills. This trough helps to directionally radiate and transmit heat to barbecue food without exposure to flame. It also protects the firebox from damage caused by heat, grease splatters and natural elements. This is the smaller right side pan. No special tools are required to secure this item.This part is made out of metal and it is sold individually.

The trough or \"u\"s as the manufacturer called them, despite my efforts to keep them clean and dry rusted out due to the high Florida humidity. The grill was covered.
Very easy .Clean up, remove the old ones and install the new ones by hand. Continue to keep the troughs clean. Well, duh. Moisture takes its toll in Florida.
