This is a genuine part that is supplied by the original manufacturer for use with Honda generators. When pulled, the starter rope engages starter spring causing the engine turn fast enough for the ignition module to generate a spark to ignite the fuel in the cylinder. This part is made of nylon rope and is sold individually. To install the rope you will need a screwdriver and socket wrench. Turn the starter spring to build tension and recoil the rope inside the housing.

The Eu2000i generator has to be nearly completely disassembled in order to remove the recoil starter to replace the cord. If you do this, it\'s a good idea to disassemble it in advance of ordering parts as you may uncover other items you\'d like to replace as you go into the disassembly.
