This is an authentic OEM part. The muffler gasket is made of cardboard composite, and is sold individually. The gasket is compatible with many generators. Fitted onto the extension pipe, providing protection from friction. A wrench is required for the replacement.
The Eu2000i generator has to be nearly completely disassembled in order to remove the recoil starter to replace the cord. If you do this, it\'s a good idea to disassemble it in advance of ordering parts as you may uncover other items you\'d like to replace as you go into the disassembly.
1. Removed the muffler protector
2. Removed 3 bolts holding the muffler in place
3. Removed gasket residue from flanges
4. Cleaned spark arrester
5. Replaced gasket with new gasket
6. Reassembled
The tricky part was keeping the gasket in place while bolting the muffler back on.
