Remove the old snap button with a pair of pliers. Insert the new one by hand. It will easily lock into place.

Handle lock broken

I removed the handle from the handle bracket, then popped off the cover and removed the old broken snap button. I then inserted the new part into the handle and pressed the cap back on. Install the handle on the bracket. And then tried it out. Works Great.
