1. Removed outer shell of generator.. (be very careful to make sure you use the correct size drivers...they strip easily and I had to drill out two of them.
2. Keeping track of all parts and disassembly / assembly order.
3. Installing starter assembly was very straightforward.
4. Reassembly a challenge.
Outc ... Read more ome: while the generator now starts and runs, the digital gauges and onboard computer display no longer works. It used to tell you fuel level, hours remaining etc... Shortly after starting the unit, the displays went black... I\'m sure it was something I did wrong. I would suggest being very careful with this aspect of the assembly and disassembly. Several components must be removed in order to access the starter assembly. Disconnecting the computer generated display is necessary to complete the task.

Disassembled the generator shroud and took the carburetor off to get to the starter and fan shroud. It was really not too hard.
