First after receiving the Thermal switch I ordered, I tried to remove the 2 small screws that attached the old Switch but I stripped the screws and could not remove them, then it dawned on me to check my Oil level and discovered it to be low, added oil and voila! not a thermal switch malfunction, it was an owner with a loose nut! Note to self air cooled generators burn a lot of oil. I serviced it 6 months ago with oil change, filter and spark plugs, never did I dream it had burnt up so much oil, but way too many power outages this year in Maine.
