To replace the tank, start by removing the securing screws and disconnecting the gas line. Drain the remaining gas into a container. Remove the gas valve from the old tank and take out the tank. Install the new gas valve onto the new tank and securely place the new tank. After reconnecting the gas line and filling the tank with gas, conduct a thorough check to ensure there are no signs of leaks.

Fuel tank cracked where mounting bolts locked it to the frame.
Installed fuel tank after figuring out how to create shock absorbers to keep the new tank from being broken. Original had no shock absorption so moving generator or running it caused the tank to be heavily stressed and it cracked where the bolts went through.

3. Turned the full tank upside down or bottom up.
4. Removed the drain plug.
5. Removed the fuel cap.
6. Reinstalled the old drain plug in the new full tank.

Remove the bolts and washer securing the tank to the frame
Remove the old tank
Install the new tank with the bolts and washers

My generator fuel tank had a crack on a side and the rubber grommet for the petcock valve was bad
1. Disconnected gas line.
2. Drained gas left in tank to suitable container.
3. Removed gas vavle from old tank.
4. Removed old tank.
5. Installed gas valve on new tank.
6. Installed new gas tank.
7. Reconnected gas line to new tank.
8. Filled new tank with gas and checked for leaks.
1. Removed 4 screws
2. Disconnect fuel line
3. Lift off old tank
4. Remove fuel shut off valve from tank
5. Install fuel valve on new tank
6. Replace tank with new
7. Install 4 screws
8. Reconnect fuel line.
