The circuit breaker had failed totally. Upon removal of the cover it was noted that one of the terminals were burnt, further inspection noted that the wire insulation had melted up a good inch from the terminal. Repairing the wire by placing a new terminal to a new section of wire and connecting to the new circuit breaker. Not sure why
... Read more the original terminal burnt, poor connection I guess, but it seems to have been the problem all along. The generator will now handle the welder or my well pump without issue.
Removed the cover
Removed the nut from the breakers and removed them and the terminals
Installed the new terminals on the new breakers and installed them
Replaced the cover
