This is a genuine replacement carbon brush which is supplied by the original equipment manufacturer for use with Briggs and Stratton portable generators. The purpose of the brush is to help conduct the current by maintaining physical contact with an armature inside the electric motor which powers the unit. It is a high-quality component which consists of a durable plastic holder and two carbon brushes with attached lead wires and springs.
