I tried powdering some freeze-dried tomato paste. My blade literally ripped apart a the food was so hard. I sure didn\'t want to replace the food processor so I started looking on the internet.
All I did was remove from mailing package, rinse off and place on the shaft. Works fine. The collar is shorter than my previous one but it still does the job.
Assembled the food processor using the new/replacement parts, plugged in the appliance and turned it on. S-blade and lid fit perfectly. Threw away the old/broken/cracked parts. Repair complete.
Ordered the replacement part. Once it arrived, I threw out the older one. Glad eReplacementParts.com exists, as the manufacturer no longer supplies replacement blades.
