Don\'t put your lids in the dishwasher. The high heat will warp it ever so slightly but enough so it won\'t twist into the groove. No amount of sanding or forming will make it work as it has to be exact for safety reasons. The replacement I got here greatly surprised me as it was inexpensive and fit perfectly.
Just substituted the new bowl and lid. I suspect plastic aging had resulted in alignment or spacing issues and hence binding such that it was almost impossible to close the lid and use the food processor
