Product Description

?

This natural gas and propane piezo ignitor is commonly found in various home appliances like fireplaces, heaters, and cast iron stoves. It functions by generating a spark to initiate the ignition of the gas and propane mixture, thus initiating the heating process. Typically positioned near the burner or pilot assembly, this ignitor features a snap-in style. Signs that it needs replacement include failure to produce a spark upon pressing the ignition button or generating weak, inconsistent sparks. Additionally, look for signs of damage or corrosion. To replace the ignitor, refer to your user manual for guidance on locating and accessing it in your appliance. Next, unthread the mounting screws on the ignitor bracket, remove the old ignitor, disconnect the wire, attach the wire to the new ignitor, and complete the process by installing the new ignitor. Please keep in mind that this genuine OEM replacement part is sold individually and separately from the rest of the pilot assembly.
