I only needed to replace the thermocouple - not the entire pilot assembly. So I opened the thermocouple retainer with needle nose pliers and then replace it with the new

1. shut off gas supply 2. remove gas line 3. remove burner assy. and invert to access wire, sensor and igniter wire . 4. remove old pilot assy. two phillips screws hold it to the burner assy. 5. install new assembly in reverse order. 6. check all connections 7. light and enjoy!

Removed old pilot light controls and replaced them with the right parts the 2nd time what make this most difficult is the location of pilot to valve connection very low to the bottom It took some effort but every thing up and running now
