Product Description

?

This is an authentic Ryobi replacement part, and is sold individually. The bandsaw tire is an essential part of the band saw. It keeps the blade tracking correctly on the wheel. Overtime the belt will become stretched or cracked and you will notice the blade not tracking properly. This would be the time to change it. It is advised to change both tires instead of just one. This part is compatible with the band saws listed below.

Using a screwdriver I pried off the top tire. The tire contact surfaces on both wheels were then cleaned using a wire brush while I soaked both tires in a pot of hot water making them more pliable. I placed a tire on the top wheel at the 12o\'clock position and gently stretched the tire around the wheel with my thumb and fingers to slip it over the lip of the wheel and position the tire in place. A 1/4\" dowel was then inserted between the wheel and tire and rotated around the wheel approximately three times to equalize the the pressure on the wheel from the stretched tire. The same procedure was used for the drive (bottom) tire.
