This part is an OEM from Craftsman for use with Lawn Mowers. The ground drive belt drives the transmission, which propels the lawn mower wheels. The most common reason for replacing the drive belt is when the lawn mower wheels won't turn. This part is sold individually. The tools that you will need to replace the drive belt is a 5/8 inch socket and a pipe wrench.

Removed two bolts holding cover on.
transferred springs to replacement door
reinstalled bolts and tightened with wrench.
removed belt cover
removed v belt retainer
slid off old belt
refitted new belt
installed v belt retainer
reattached cover
There was no need to remove blade or ada pter.to change the drive belt.
