This is a genuine OEM part. The pcb assembly is made for use with the DeWalt DCV580 Wet/Dry Cordless Vacuum. The control board is secured to the motor in the top of the vacuum base, managing the electrical signals in the vacuum. A screwdriver and pliers are necessary for the installation.

1. Removed the screws from the bottom of the top part of the vaccum.
2. Disconnected the motor and the main board.
3. Put everything back together.

I was a piece of cake took the eight screws out separated the upper and lower pieces saw the board was bad and replaced it

Replaced the curcuit board and found a burnt spot and replaced the on/off switch just because I ordered it also

Dewalt 18/20v shop vac would not turn on.

Disassembled unit to get to internal wiring and motor. Used multi meter to find where there was power&ground. From there was able to trace to PCB. Removed PCB and found board burnt. (Probably poor solder joint induced heat) Installed new PCB and reassembled as necc. Unit is now good as new. Thanks again ereplacementparts.com.

Removed motor cover. Tested power and ground from battery going to circuit board. Verified that switch was functioning found no power going to motor from circuit board. Replaced circuit board and verified power
