This replacement air cleaner element is an authentic OEM supplied item that is specially designed for Makita backpack blowers. Its purpose is to filter out dust and debris from contaminating the carburetor and engine. Please note this pleated paper air cleaner element is sold individually. To replace this filter no special tools would be needed, simply remove the cover and replace the filter element.
1. Remove old components .
2. Replace with new components.

helped finding very difficult to find parts at a very reasonable price. I searched eBay, amazon, and ended up here with the best price.
Performed tune up, replacing spark plug, air and fuel filters. Also replaced broken choke lever.
Replacing choke lever helped with starting, but tune up did not correct intermittent cut out at high speed.
